It has been many moons since I last blogged.  Although 2012 brought with it some disaster, as I recently learned that all the artwork I had left to sell at the Lower East Side Art Collective was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy, this past year has definitely also bore much joy and gifts. I have lots to celebrate: I moved into my own apartment in a beautiful historic town house on a lovely garden property in Old North St. Louis.  I spent a wonderful summer making art with elderly residents at the generous grounds of Our Lady of the Snows.  I saw my best friend from college get married to the love of her life and had an incredible time with my old friends at her wedding. My thesis proposal was passed after many arduous rewrites.  I received much praise for my work at Barnes Jewish Hospital as an intern in their Arts & Healthcare program.  I had a very successful art opening and show at La Mancha Coffeehouse.
